It has an integrated automatic temperature compensation, in order to achieve the best charging power even under the most extreme conditions. The MXS 5.0 also has a battery diagnostic that determines whether the battery can accept and hold a charge, a patented automatic desulfation program, an AGM option to maximize the life of most start/stop batteries, and a special recondition mode for reconditioning deep batteries. The patented float/pulse system from CTEK is used in MXS 5.0. This is the most efficient trickle charging mode when a battery is left connected to the charger for a long time.
