Its soft elastomer covering provides an excellent grip.At the end of the handle, there's a 100dB whistle as well as a slit opening for a cord or strap.Like many Opinel folding knives, a Virobloc safety locking ring locks the blade in either the closed position for transport  and open position for use.The solid and sharp blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 and is 3" (75mm) long.
