Concerti Italiani, Alessandro Fossi and the Rovereto Wind Orchestra

Concerti Italiani, Alessandro Fossi and the Rovereto Wind Orchestra

The artistic path of Alessandro Fossi, one of the most renowned tuba players in the world, enriches himself thanks to the release of his latest album “Concerti Italiani”. This new album sees the participation of the “Rovereto Wind Orchestra” and it is produced by the record label FonoFabrique in Bologna. The dynamism of the album is firstly displayed by the refined choice concerning the partition of the three main tracks - Concertissimo per tuba e banda composed by Corrado Maria Saglietti, Concerto grosso op. 27 composed by Brian Richard Earl and Concerto per tuba e Wind Ensemble composed by Giancarlo Aquilanti - into three movements characterised by an incessant variation of melodies. This alternation emphasises the low and deep sound of the tuba. In this masterpiece, we can definitely find a further confirmation of the great work Master Fossi has accomplished through the years, a result he has achieved thanks to the collaboration with “Rovereto Wind Orchestra”. The orchestra, currently formed by 81 elements, was born in 1997 as a band of Antonio Rosmini High School in Rovereto (Trento), under the guidance of the conductor, Master Andrea Loss. Among the many international awards from the Rovereto Wind Orchestra we remember the first prize in the 3rd division of WMC in 2005, the world competition of Kerkrade (The Netherlands), the second place in the 2nd division for the Harmony Band of WMC in 2009 and the achievement of the third Gold Medal at Kerkade's WMC in the Harmony Band 1st Division.
